VINI International Fze based in the United Arab Emirates (100% subsidiary of Vini Cosmetics Pvt. Ltd.) is an entrepreneurial venture started by Mr. Darshan Patel. Vini Cosmetics Pvt. Ltd. is a dynamic leader in the personal care and beauty segment, known for creating innovative, high-impact brands that resonate with modern consumers. Since our inception, we have built a strong presence in the Indian market and beyond, driven by a deep understanding of consumer needs and a commitment to quality, creativity, and effectiveness.

In 2021, KKR (Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.), a leading global investment firm, and Vini Cosmetics Pvt. Ltd. (Vini), a leading branded personal care and beauty products company in India, announced the signing of a definitive agreement pursuant to which the Company’s Founder Group – led by Darshan Patel, Chairman & Joint-Managing Director, and Dipam Patel, Joint-Managing Director – and Sequoia Capital sold a majority stake in the Company to KKR (Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.) for approximately US$625 million. The Co-Founders will continue to hold a significant stake in Vini and collaborate with KKR (Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.) in the next phase of the Company’s growth.

The acquisition marks a powerful step forward in our growth journey, enabling us to scale faster, expand into new markets, and continue to innovate in ways that delight our customers. Backed by KKR, we are poised to strengthen our leadership in the beauty and personal care space while staying true to our core
mission—to empower individuals through bold, effective, and accessible products.

The Man Behind

Mr. Patel had no formal grounding in the basics of branding and marketing. “I did not had the A of advertising, B of branding and C of consumer insight until the early 90’s” he says. Mr Patel’s first brush with marketing happened in 1986, when he was asked to help out the family-run business Paras Pharmaceuticals Ltd. with brands like Moov, Krack, Livon etc.
